40th Anniversary season at Octagon Theatre
The Octagon Theatre at Bolton will celebrate its 40th Anniversary, starting this September, with a season of nine plays including five World Premiers! To celebrate this significant anniversary, a wide-ranging repertoire has been planned to reflect the Octagons reputation as an established and varied theatre. The programme is the most ambitious work in the 40 years of the Octagons history and combines the local character with international perspectives. The first of these shows starts with ‘Lisa’s Sex Strike,’ a World Premier for the theatre. The topical comedy is a new version of Aristophanes classic comedy Lysistrata and promises to take on great issues of our time with disturbing hilarity. The second play to start later in September, ‘And Did Those Feet,’ is also a World Premiere and is all about Bolton Wanderers.
